The prtraiture class in January in Llanelltyd should have had a tutor but he was ill and at the last moment could not come. However, Glenys had arranged models for us so we decided to do our own thing. First sitter was a young mother with a todler. Amazingly she managed to keep the child fairly still on her lap for quite some time. Then he got down to explore and to test our speed sketching skills. After a lunch break with lovely chocolate cake made by Glenys, we had an elderly neighbour from the village and our chairman Valerie also posed with her to give everyone a choice of model and view. Then Valerie did a troubleshooting session which was very useful, and we finished by looking at an interesting collection of reproductions of some of Valerie's favourite portraits. |
